Blessings in the Mighty Name of Yeshua Hamashiach!
(The Goal of Consecration)
Forty days of prayer and consecration will begin January first and end on February 9th. One thing to focus on is becoming a vessel for God to fill and use for His glory. But that will only happen when we empty ourselves of ourselves. What does that mean?
It is a call for Christians to emulate Christ's humility by emptying themselves of their own interests and looking to the interests of others. Many people in our lives and around us are hurting and in need of healing. When we become vessels filled with the presence of God, we also become the very instruments that God will use to bring healing and deliverance to others. Do you know someone who is struggling with addiction, depression, and despair. Or maybe you have a family member you want to see healed and made whole. I believe Adonai wants to use you to pour into others His love, power, and peace.
Let's us follow the example of Jesus in emptying ourselves of ourselves for the healing and deliverance of many.
Philippians 2:5-7 AMP
[5] Have this same attitude in yourselves which was in Christ Jesus [look to Him as your example in selfless humility], [6] who, although He existed in the form and unchanging essence of God [as One with Him, possessing the fullness of all the divine attributes—the entire nature of deity], did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped or asserted [as if He did not already possess it, or was afraid of losing it]; [7] but emptied Himself [without renouncing or diminishing His deity, but only temporarily giving up the outward expression of divine equality and His rightful dignity] by assuming the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men [He became completely human but was without sin, being fully God and fully man].
